When your liver excretes waste it is sent to the gallbladder. This is where the bile is stored. The gallbladder also has another important function of helping in digesting food.

For people that tend to eat a lot of fatty and oily food, the oil and fat deposits are stored up in the liver and gallbladder. Once the accumulation gathers up over a period of time, the fats and oils form into gallstones.

These gallstones can cause health problems to you since they cause bile to back up and bacteria to spread in your body. Once the problems escalate to pain, people eventually go to surgeon to have the gallstones removed.

If surgery is prohibitive to you due to high costs or you are afraid of surgery, then you might want to try a more natural remedy to getting rid of gallstones.

One of these natural remedies that people are trying is the gallbladder cleanse. The gallbladder cleanse is a home remedy which does not require expensive equipment or medication.

Before you start doing a gallbladder cleanse, you should consult your physician and find out if you are capable of doing such a remedy. Do not attempt to do the flush before talking to your doctor.

All the necessary components of doing the gallbladder cleanse can be found at any supermarket. You will need apple juice, olive oil, Epsom salt, and lemons.

For the first 6 days, you have to drink the apple juice everyday. The apple juice helps soften up the gallstones so that they can pass through your system.

At the end of the 6th day, prepare a mixture of olive oil with lemon juice. The mixture amount should be 2/3 olive oil and 1/3 lemon juice. Drink this olive oil mixture before going to bed.

The next day when you get up mix up the Epsom salt with some warm water and drink it all. This acts like a laxative which helps you get rid of the gallstones.

If you have the time, you may want to do the gallbladder cleanse several times a year. This helps in keeping your body toxin free and unclogged.
