Good Luck: The tale of a blind guy and a paraplegic who plan to enter a white-water rafting race in request to demonstrate their own self esteem. The topic of glory over difficulty is farni1iar, although the film’s heart is in the right place. There are some sincerely amusing scenes. Cast includes Gregory Hines, Vincent D’Onofrio, James Earl Jones, Max Gail, Joe Theismann, Roy Firestone, Maria O’Brien, and Sara Spark. (98 minutes, 1997)
Spice World: A fantasy view of a few nights in the lives of the pop phenomenon The Spice Girls and their presence with road agent Grant. Cameos by Elton John, Bob Hoskins, Bob Geldof, Elvis Costello, The Fantasy Boys, Jonathan Ross, and Jennifer Saunders. Cast includes The Flavor Gals (Mel B, Emma, Mel C, Geri, and Victoria), Richard E. Bullitt: Definitive McQueen anti-hero part that he grows to love. As a cop trying to keep is witness alive. McQueen sees a lot of bloodshed as the mob is out to kill the man he must protect. Cast includes Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, Jacqueline Bisset, Don Gordon, and Robert Duvall. (113 minutes, 1968)
Light Years: Conceited energized sci-fi fantasy, in regards to a prince who time-voyages into the future; he’s enclosed by characters identified Ambisextra, Transformation, Chief of the Distorted, and The Collective Voice (so you know this wasn’t made with little kids in mind). Cast includes Voices of Glenn Close, Christopher Plummer, Jennifer Grey, John Shea, David Johansen, Terrence Mann, and Penn and Teller. (71 minutes, 1988)
Foxy Brown: There is bloodshed and little else in this story of Nurse Grier and her vendetta against a drug ring that has slaughtered her lover. Cast includes Pam Grier, Peter Brown, Terry Carter, and Kathryn Loder. (94 minutes, 1974)
Hail Caesar: Horrible music-megastar wannabe (Chamber) is in love with an offensive debutante, whose dad is plotting to undermine an upcoming concert. Not a very good film. Cast includes Anthony Michael Chamber, Robert Downey, Jr., Frank Gorshin, Samuel L. Jackson, Judd Nelson, and Nicholas Pryor. (97 minutes, 1993)
Borderline: Bronson, minus Jill Ireland this time, is a border patrol officer looking for a murderer. Cast includes Charles Bronson, Bruno Kirby, Bert Remsen, Michael Lerner, Kenneth McMillan, Ed Harris, and Wilford Brimley. (105 minutes, 1980)
